Anyone surprised?  sure there is going to be more as well. All with some sorta reason that is justified by the powers that be.

They were driving in the parking lot.

They were fleeing police. In the country I live, it would have been many more than 5 shots for fleeing police.

So where in the article did it say that they had an investigation that actually said that these people were criminals?? They've been rounding up so-called the worst of the worst, but according to many statistics most are not even criminals!!!!!

Why do you think they come here? It's because of the corruption in the countries they lived in and to seek a better life!!! My parents came here for the same reason, and every family represented here has relatives that came here for that same reason also. This is a land of immigrants, even though many have since than been born here they all had an immigrant originally in there family!!

I understand your question now. 

According to that statement, they had already concluded these people were with "Tren de Aragua prostitution ring". 

So they already knew they were suspects in crime. They may or may not have been involved in the Portland shooting. But that is irrelevant. 

When the officers made the stop, they smashed cars in attempt to flee.  In every country in the world, offices will try to stop a fleeing suspect. In many countries they will fire a hail of bullets. It seems to me, they were restrained in this case.

Smashing cars to get out of there is a crime. 

Fleeing the police is a serious crime. Only serious criminals do that.
