Joe Knapp Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I believe there have been several cases of Vandalism in Canada as well. Quote
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted March 7 Author Moderators Posted March 7 My sources tell me that over the past 6-years, Canada has had a number of attacks on churches. I am unable to identify any SDAs that have been attacked. Quote Gregory
Gustave Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Was this particular church (I understand it was an SDA Church) known to officiate "same sex marriages"? I realize that the vast number of SDA Churches fall in on the conservative side of this issue but also understand in SF, where liberalism is allowed to express itself fully without reservation - something could have triggered this guy. Having something like this happen would make the average parishioner more than a little nervous and difficult to enjoy the homily! Best wishes to that church. Quote
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted March 7 Author Moderators Posted March 7 Gustave, yes, there once was an SDA Church in San Francisco that was more liberal than the typical SDA church. I do not know that it ever allowed such marriages. In any case, that experiment ended some years ago. I once was a member of a large SDA congregation that had a homosexual couple who attended. But, they were not members. I am aware of another SDA congregation that accepted a homosexual couple into membership. The pastor was expelled from ministry. Other action resulted related to another clergy person. But, the couple remained members. Kevin H and phkrause 2 Quote Gregory
