bonnie1962 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 This would have been a very worthy post over the past decade. Can you imagine if someone highly placed in the democratic party would have had the backbone and the character to stand firm on this sentiment. There is generally enough gossip on both sides but the democrates outdid themselves over Trump. Trump probably has enough in his background you wouldnt think the lies would have been so blatant Quote
Asia Joe Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM I neither like nor dislike Pres Trump. But I am saddened at the deep disrespect towards him by the American people. I really think it is harming many of his hater's . Quote What's more, all this talk can escalate to physical violence I lost count how many violent attacks there have been. Quote
Hanseng Posted yesterday at 01:59 PM Posted yesterday at 01:59 PM Nancy Pelosi, in particular, was very disrespectful of both President Trump and, more importantly, the office he occupies. Her blatant contempt was displayed for all to see when she tore up or tossed a printed copy of an address he was giving. People are prosecuted for contempt of congress. How about prosecuting others for contempt of the president. Illustrative scene in Band of Brothers when a major reminds a junior officer to "Salute the rank, not the man." How much more when the person in question occupies the office of the president. It's not only contempt for the president. This disdain extends to every one who voted for him. Why should students respect their teachers or citizens the police when members of congress openly disrespect the president? Thailand jails people for disrespecting their king: "Section 112 of the Thai Criminal Code is one of the strictest defamation laws in the world. Violations, including digital actions such as social media posts or public discussions, can lead to years of imprisonment per offense. It is considered a serious offense against the Thai monarchy and carries severe penalties, including 3 to 15 years of imprisonment per count. Multiple offenses can lead to significantly longer prison sentences, even lasting decades. Tip: There is no immunity for tourists or foreigners, so always show respect toward the monarchy." bonnie1962 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I have ask ed a similar question many times. Never an explanation that made sense. Not in defense of Trump but hoping maybe to have a explanation for their situational ethics. I don't know how anyone could have followed the political news for any length of time and act as if Trump is unique in questionable moral conduct. All the hand wringing by the democrats and Trump haters over Trump and his immoral conduct ,Clinton on this forum and elsewhere was given a pass. His actions took place in the Oval office by a sitting president and he was excused. Call it what you will when the response was "well it doesn't effect his ability to govern" or "it is a family matter" REally? So elect him again? Not much different when Ted Kennedy and Dodd boasted about a waitress sandwich, holdinh public office Kennedy walked away from a young woman dead in his car. I believe he was re-elected as well. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together cannot possibly believe Biden was this paragon of virtue. No one can honestly believe that man had clean hands. How anyone can condemn Trump for dishonesty and not have the same condemnation for Biden is really tough to understand. The rumor mill went non stop and is stlll going over Trump, yet anything said in the same manner towards Biden ,Then the hatred for Trump boils over. The only answer is if you dont suppot Biden and his lies and corruption then you belong to the Trump cult I would just like to know how this reasoning works. The opening post would have been very interesting made earlier. Quote

Easiest way to understand it is by realizing that many, if not most, democratic politicians are not democrats, they are demonrats. I mean that. They are evil, bad for the country. That they can get elected to any office does not bode well for the future of America. Quote
Asia Joe Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Quote I lost count how many violent attacks there have been. 18 and that does not include the Whitehouse shooter last week. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_assassination_attempts_and_plots#Donald_Trump_2 13 against President Obama. 3 more years to go.
