I sometimes wonder if God helped refined Joseph by allowing him to be sold into slavery and put in prison. While Jacob instructed him well in the Lord, it seems he also spoiled him rotten. His time in Egypt refined him into being the shining example of faith that we know. In fact, I do not believe there is one of Joseph's sins mentioned in the Bible. Except for those that consider wearing jewelry a sin (Gen. 41:42).

Prov 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?

It seems that Gd (though not always or entirely) overlooks the transgressions of those vessels He’s made unto honor. David and
