David Koot Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I say, Bravus, is that a self-portrait? A 'before and after' sequence? Quote
Neil D Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I say,.... The neo-skin head-nazi look must be in... Is that a 'left wing' phenomona? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
David Koot Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Is that a 'left wing' phenomona? Evidently Bravus has undergone a political conversion! The resulted of moving to Oz!! I KNEW there was hope for him! But, a bit extreme, don't you think? Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted March 18, 2007 Author Moderators Posted March 18, 2007 Hehe, I've renounced my long-haired hippie ways and embraced a military buzz. (and yep, that's me David) Seriously, that's my more usual look, but my kids had never seen my curls in living memory, and Suzie was missing them, so I grew my hair out for the past 6 months or so. But it wasn't very practical for someone who wears a motorcycle helmet a couple of times a day, and although it's still gratifyingly thick at my advanced age it's coming in grey, and... anyway, back to 'normal'. (and no, sorry, it doesn't herald a dramatic political conversion) Quote Truth is important

Amelia Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Quote: I turn 43 next month. Oh yeah, horribly advanced age. But you look fabulous I agree; helmet hair isn't a great look. David Koot Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 . I turn 43 next month. 43? 43??!! Why, when you were BORN, I was a sophomore in high school. Young man, you need to show more respect for your elders!!!!! :SO Quote

Moderators Bravus Posted March 18, 2007 Author Moderators Posted March 18, 2007 Hehe, OK, I admit it, I'm a spring chicken... I guess the only point was that there are a fair few guys my age whose foreheads have expanded further... Have to admit, one thing that made me think about getting shorn was when a friend suggested I might be heading here: Quote Truth is important

David Koot Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Photos of such, I have none. Didn't seem worth recording, being of the old school. But now we do have some good close-ups of Bravus! Harrumph! You definitely exude the aura of being a biker! Harley. Triumph or what? But somehow I can't see you downing a cold one. Dave Quote
Halfstep Denise Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Hi Bravus! I like the new look! Do they have a "Locks of Love" organization in Australia? "Locks of Love" takes hair donations and makes wigs for children who have longterm health problems that result in hairloss. Last year I was able to give them a 10-inch ponytail of hair and don't plan to cut it again until I can give another donation. Enjoy your new hair length! I totally agree Bravus. You look young! But then again, being such a nice person would make you younger rather than older. So I am not surprised. Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted March 19, 2007 Author Moderators Posted March 19, 2007 Thanks you, that's very kind. I do think we earn our faces as we get older, so I hope I look kind... even if my Suzie said that with the new haircut I look like someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. Dr. Shane Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I have always had the same haircut since I was in the Army. Since I have gotten a little bald spot, I try to get it cut more often as I don't like shaggy hair with a bald spot. I am not vain enough yet for a hair transplant so I don't expect any major changes in the near future. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Gerr Posted March 19, 2007 Moderators Posted March 19, 2007 I notice some thinning at the top. Might as well get used to shorter hair or no hair because in a few years you'll be joining my club! Gerry Quote
