Dr. Shane Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Today on Hope and 3ABN is a special from the Dominican Republic called "Pentecost And More" to celebrate Canal Esperanza (Hope Spanish Channel) becoming available in that area and with a mass baptism, to be the first world division to have more than 3 million members. Dr. Shane Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 4,000 are being baptized in the Dominican Republic. Not sure if others are being baptized in other countries in the Inter American Division too. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Taylor Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Yes there will be close to 300,000 people baptized toda in the InterAmerican Division. I heard Elder Paulsen infer if I understood correctly. I hope that is correct. Not positive. But in the Dominincan Republic alone they are baptizing over 4,000 today. Prasie the Lord! Quote
olger Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Praise the Lord. These converts have often been a valuable counter-balance to the progressive excursions of western Adventism. olger Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Taylor Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 OK I talked to someone by phone in the Dominincan Republic and he said that over 37,000 people were baptized in the InterAmeriacn Division today. Sorry for the wrong number above. I missunderstood, but 37,000 is incredible as well! Quote
olger Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Amen, Sister. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Dr. Shane Posted March 25, 2007 Author Posted March 25, 2007 Did you learn anything about Esperanza being broadcast into Central America? Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Taylor Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Not with that quick phone call but I will do my best to find out for you. I am so excited that Hope TV has launched a Spanish version for the Inter-American Division!! It is much needed and I know it will be a blessing to many. Quote
Dr. Shane Posted March 25, 2007 Author Posted March 25, 2007 I couldn't find anything on their web site. I am kind of disappointed in that. 3ABN has a lot more on their website for 3ABN Latino than Hope has on their site for Esperanza. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
