Dr. Shane Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Anyone know how I can buy a Signs of The Times distribution box? I would like to set one in front of my new office. Also bulk subscriptions of special issues? I can't find anything about it on their web site or on the ABCs. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... there buster Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I don't know about a distribution box. The other two I do know something about. A Presbyterian pastor responded to one of my articles by asking for subscriptions for his whole congregation. I got him in touch with Pacific Press and he receives 30 copies of each issue which he distributes at church. I don't know the cost or minimum number of subscriptions, but any time they send more than one in a package they save something. My church has used issues with my articles as giveaways--it amazes me how it piques interest to say, "and here's the author of this article," even if they've never heard of you before, and of course they haven't. Anyway, you can get up to 99 copies of a particular issue for 0.99 each; 100 or more at 0.89. But you have to act quickly. Withing 60 days after publication date, there may be none at all available. So if you want the March issue, for example, order it by the end of April. There might be some around in May, but you're risking not getting any. Just call up Pacific Press, wait for the operator, and tell them what you want. I've never been treated with anything but the utmost courtesy by anyone there. Administrators Gail Posted March 29, 2007 Administrators Posted March 29, 2007 Shane, your local ABC couldn't set that up for you? They are in connection with PPPA on a regular basis. Would you like me to ask and find out? Let me know with a PM if you do... Amelia Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I like those distrubution boxes. I know of only two and always stop and pick up an issue when I'm in those areas. That is a great mission tool Shane. But watch out for vandals. Dr. Shane Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 My new boss first wanted me to work out of my home but he sensed that I wasn't real comfortable with that so he told me to find an office to rent. I found one in an office building. It is right on main street. The front door opens into the building's corridor and there are various offices inside. So if I set the box outside my office, it will actually be inside the building and not so subject to vandalism as it would be if it were outside. I am considering buying a plastic box that is set up to display three different magazines. I found one on the internet for about $155. That way I can put in both Spanish and English magazines. Amelia Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 OK if you are set up like that then why not use a less expensive method. Something like this maybe?
