It's obviously a providential plan: to let the land lie fallow [one season] in order to regenerate; and also to let God's people lie fallow [one day a week] in order to regenerate in the spiritual sense. I've never heard this word used this way before, but it seems so reasonable. Now, as to the No.(2) definition, fallow being used as a description of color, I must commit that definition to memory.
