pilose (pahy-lohs)

adjective, covered with hair, especially fine, soft hair.

[from Latin pilosus < pilus, a hair]

related forms:

pilous, (pahy-less), adj.

pilosity, (pahy-lohs-ity), noun, hairiness.

Deer antlers are pilose. There is a plant called by some "Lambs ear" which has a velvety pilosity and oh yes, does anyone know of "Buttonweed?"
