Would he do the same for a white student who would make false accusations against a Black student? Where is affirmation action when you need it?

The ironic thing is that many poor blacks have found themselves in similar positions (being falsely accused). Imagine if was a white woman making false accusations against black men and Donald Trump was offering the woman a scholarship regardless if she was lying or not.

I heard that the Duke kids had to spend $5 million for attorney fees. They also had their lives put on hold for one year. They could not continue their schooling because of the cloud over their heads.

Will Jesse feel bad for them and offer to pay their tuition or attorney fees? NO ... They are WHITE.

The gangster rap issue is off topic here but I understand it was me that contributed to that. I wasn't sure how to just link to the one video clip.

I think Opio Sokoni did a fine job of making his points Michelle Malkin didn't state that Shapton never addressed the gangster mentality but that it had been two or three years since he had, while that type of music has continued to dominate the charts. Now she may be mistaken about that time period. The day before O'Reilly had Shapton on his program addressing exactly that time of criticism. However I think clearly, Sharpton doesn't get as much press coverage when he is criticizing gangster rap and that may lead many in the public to believe he doesn't care as much about discouraging it.

I had never even heard of Michelle Malkin before but she presented herself very well and comes off much better, I think, than Ann Coulter.

Its more than that. Its part of the right wing playbook to portray Sharpton/Jackson et al. as hypocrits and racists.

Its a ridiculous mantra, that the real racists are those who speak out against it. It 1984 double speak!

It they take the time, if they were really interested they would know the truth about the work of these men.

There is a systemactic, consistent process of defaming those who may forcefully present a contrary argument. This not just on the issue of race but on Iraq etc.

That is the irony of it. There are a lot of black defendants that have been innocent and convicted due to the same types of tactics this DA was using. That is why it is so incredible the position black leaders took on this case.

DA's do tend to be bullies. Our family had a similar situation when a DA went after my Brother in law. He forced a key witness to lie under oath by threatening his daughter with prison if he did not lie under oath. My brother in law went to prison for five years for that lie. Because of the politics involed justice will never be served to our family. That part of the south like NC is corrupt and the only reason justice was served here was this DA picked on families that had the money to fight him in the press and in the courts. My brother in law did not have that kind of resouces. His assets was frozen and his phones bugged for years. Whenever I called my sister I would hear a clicking in the background. The DA accused my brother in law of hiding money overseas in offshore bank accounts. That was false but my Brother in law in addition to the prison sentence was fined $800.000 that he can never afford to pay.

My sisters family will never recover. My brother in law lost his practice of being a doctor and he does not have the funds to reaqure his license. The only reason they have not lost the house is the bank loan is more than the house is worth and the bank does not want to repossess the house as they would lose a lot of money. So they have allowed them to refi the loan but that will only be a stop gap.

All because of a over zealous DA in Southwest Virginia in 2000.

The only good thing from this is that I express that Sentiment that DA's are bullies and I do not trust ANYTHING they have to say when I am put on a jury. I get kicked off by the DA the first choice he or she gets. LOL. Not a bad thing since I hate getting put on a jury anyway.
