Helping A Lawyer

Recommended Posts

This is a what-would-you-do question.

Here is the situation.

A lawyer that is a member of your church is having economic problems and asks if you would be willing to help him replumb and rewire his home. This would be charity work done over the course of five or six Sundays.

Here is the catch, if there is ever any problems with mold - mostly caused by leaking plumbing, or a fire, he is a lawyer and you are going to be number one on his list.

Sure, tell him you would be willing as long as he signs a form releasing you of any future lawsuits pertaining to any work you helped him with.
