David Koot Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Some time ago, my Mercedes diesel overheated, due to an error on my part. The damage was compounded when I changed the engine oil immediately afterward. Too much oil was added, which caused serious oil leaks to begin. The situation was becoming chronic. In addition, the fuel injector pump was starting to go out, AND the heater needed to be rebuilt. All told, my repair estimates exceeded $3,000.00. A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine offered me a Mercedes 240D (diesel) in a straight-across trade. I accepted. Today, I took the car into the shop to have it checked over. Turns out it is in excellent condition mechanically, with a rebuilt engine and much other work done. It is just what I needed. I am very thankful to God for supplying this important need, at no additional cost to me. Dave Quote
