Update on my cousin with a brain injury

From my relatives who are with Ron at the rehab center:

WOW! What can I say?! Ron is recovering awesome! Today he ate SUSHI with CHOPSTICKS! I can't even do that! Guess now I have a challenge! Not only did he eat sushi with the chopsticks he also ate grapes with them! So what if he stabbed a few of them first! ;0)

In speech therapy today his therapist was asking him to listen as she spelled words and tell her what word she spelled...they went from 2 letter words to larger words. She spelled telephone Ron sits on the sidelines and says....TELEPHONE! She told him the next task was for him to spell the words as she said them...UP was the first word...Ron says, "I can spell up in many languages, which do you prefer?" (He was in the military and was trained in special ops and was taught Spanish and French and is quite profient in both.) What a sense of humor he still has and isnt it wonderful!?

In Physical therapy, he stood at a 70 degree angle for about 15 minutes today. He also assisted in moving from his wheechair to a table without the use of a sling! YEAH! Another step in the right direction.
