Dr. Shane Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 The phone company here offers DSL for $29/month but it isn't available yet where I live. I have been paying the cable company $55/month for DSL but I hate getting the bill and we rarely download anything of any size. The most memory we need is for email snap shots we take with our digital camera. So I decided to cut off the DSL and go back to dial-up. I get that through our phone company for only $10/month. I'll still have DSL in the office in case there is a big file I need to download or upload. The cable company makes us pay in advance too. So I had them shut off my service today even though my dial-up won't start until next week. So I won't be checking in this weekend or for a few evenings. Switching will save me $540/year.
