Dr. Shane Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 This weekend our family is going to Sea World. Since we feel guilty about using so much gasoline and contributing to global climate change, I am combing a business trip with the family vacation. I have to go to our corporate office in Victoria, Texas tomorrow. The evil, right-wing conservative, polluter would go to Victoria and then return home, pick up the family and take them to Sea World. But not the God-fearing, conservationist, environmentally friendly Shane. No, I am taking the family to Victoria with me where they will stay in a hotel while I do the billing at our corporate head quarters. The next day we will be able to attend church in the morning and skip over to San Antonio where we can get into the zoo for free and have a picnic in the park. Sunday is for Sea World. And yes, Bravus, I am driving a four-cylinder car. Not as good of gas millage as a motor bike but I can't get the kid's car seats on the back of the bike so I have to go with the sedan. (That's right, I am not using the six-cyliner more luxurious mini-van) Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

nuff sed Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Baloney..........Looks like you are combining a vacation with a business trip instead of vice versa so you can write the whole thing off as a business expense....................smart move.... Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted May 24, 2007 Moderators Posted May 24, 2007 Very nice work, Shane... and though it doesn't always come across here, family trumps environmental concerns, and you're addressing that too. Well done. Quote Truth is important
Dr. Shane Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 The color of our car is green too. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
olger Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Extra points all the way around! (for Shane). oG Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Planey Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I see this as a typical picture of ol' Gerry in the woods ... covering the eyes of one tree while he callously bulldozes the rest of the family. Dr. Shane Posted May 29, 2007 Author Posted May 29, 2007 Everything went well. No car problems, the minivan would have been more comfortable but would have used more gas too. We went to two zoos, Seaworld, the Alamo and the Riverwalk. And the kids still want to go to the beach next weekend!!! I will post pictures in a few days in the Gallery here - if we still have a gallery, I don't see it in the main menu any more - and on my website which can seen my clicking on the link in my signature.
