Iran.. and them holding Americans + BONUS China

I watched a report this AM about the Iranian gov't holding some Iran born Americans without charging them, perhaps others saw that as well. This one travelled there often in the past to visit her mother.

Last week it was announced that the Senate was providing funds to destabilize the current gov't there.

What do they expect to happen?

If the Icelandic gov't voted to destabilize the US Gov't (this is only an example... they of course are not) how would Icelanders be treated at immigration?

A couple of years ago, China brought down the US SPy plane over China, I do not think there were any deaths..

The Senate released a paper yesterday showing GRAVE CONCERN of the recent build up of China's military... Would the US do the same if China had spy planes over the US?

What are these people smoking?? How did they get into this pretend world?

Just my humble opinion, does not mean my kids, my co workers, my friends, my enemies, my employer, my church, my wife, my mother or my cousins agree with this statement.. I could list more HOWEVER no one is really interested.. :)

Don't forget that we are currently holding Iranian's that we snatched in Iraq. Iranians who thought they had diplomatic immunity.

The way I heard it reported, I believe on CNN, was that the US is waging a propaganda-type war against the Iranian government in lieu of a military-type war. That should actually ease Iranian concerns about us attacking them militarily. Although in the report I saw, Cheney was still pushing the military option. In a free society, we tend to welcome this type of action as what it really is, is a battle for ideas. In a closed society, like Iran, they see it as a threat. However hopefully they will see it as a different and distinct threat than what a military threat is.

I am not sure this is the best tactic but I think it better than military action. But it does give us something to go to the diplomatic table with should we decide to sit down with them in the future. If our efforts make any kind of impact on them, we can offer to quit messing with their affairs if they quit supporting the insurgency in Iraq.

Wasn't that the incident where a Chinese plane's wing actually hit the spy plane's wing? I think those in the Chinese plane did die when they crashed. The US claimed we were flying in international air space and recording all kinds of wireless communication from China. Who knows? I am sure China has plenty of spies here, planes and otherwise.
