Amelia Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I remember as a kid that summer ment a trip somewhere. Usually it was just to visit with the grandparents but sometimes it was a "VACATION"! Most of my grand family vacations were to Canada because it was close and my mother loved it up there. I have both strange and fantastic memories of the family vacation travels and my fathers travails. So what have you in store for this summer? I just spent five hours today driving 150 miles round trip and attending a wedding -- alone. First time I've done so since DH passed away. It's a whole lot different from before. Planey Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Well, summer is not for another six months, but I am toying with the idea of travelling to WA. Now remember that is Western Australia, not Washington. We would stay with some close friends, if I can organise dialysis while I am there. Would like to visit Monkey Mia while we are there and play with the dolphins. Dottie Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Well, my daughter and little boy and I are going to visit a beautiful lake and stay only for the weekend. We've never been there, but one of the waitresses at Olive Garden says it's really a great place in the summer. Quote
