Sky Angel To Sell DBS Service To DISH

Translation: Echostar = DISH Network; Dominion = Sky Angel

Basically Sky Angel has offered to sell their license to DISH and is seeking FCC approval. That means lights out for those of us with Sky Angel. Sky Angel will be broadcasting via IPTV, which means our Australian brothers and sisters will be able to get it. However in the US the Glorystar is going to be a more attractive option for those of us that can have a dish in our yard or patio.

I will add that it seems marvelous how God works things out. Since 3ABN is now on DISH instead of Sky Angel, the fact that Sky Angel will be shutting down the satellite service is not going to impact 3ABN.

I was looking at what channels are offered in the DISH Family package today. Since we are going to still have the equipment I thought we might as well subscribe to a basic package and block the bad channels. DISH Family is only $20/month and FOXNews alone is worth that plus they have CSPAN2 which I am unfamiliar with but I used to watch regular CSPAN in college and that has a lot of objective coverage of politics.

I noticed that 3ABN is also in the lineup for DISH Family. WOW! :A :lock: :CD :--)

It really makes one realize what a grand miracle God did. At the time, when the transponder failed and 3ABN went off the air on Sky Angel, we didn't know what God was doing. But now we see what God saw. God know that Sky Angel was going to sell their license and in He made provision for it to still be broadcast into millions of home via DBS service in North America.

It almost puts me in as much awe of God as the disciples were when they saw Him calm the sea and proclaimed, "What manner of Man is this that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

The only catch is that 3abn can only be seen with a 61.5 dish. They need to now get on either the 119 or the 110 satellites.

With Sky Angel going off the air, we will most likely get DISH Family and just block a few of the channels.
