Taylor Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Thanks you all for your prayers! The meetings are going well. Nicaragua is a very poor country and there are so many needs! You should see what the SDA radio station does with their very bare bones set up. You should see the glowing faces of the pastors who love their work despite only being paid $400 per month (and that includes all benefits). You should hear how God has already worked miracles in the lives of some people. For instance, the funds for one campaign were stolen. The poor pastor was profoundly stressed as there was no way he could pay it back. Well it is a long story that I can't go into here, but we all prayed about it and a few hours later the funds were not only returned but they contained an extra $25! When God fixes a problem, apparently he more than fixes it! Please continue to keep these 26 campaigns in your prayers. We are just a few days away from finishing up our first week of meetings. Pray that the message of grace, God's love, and his will for their loves continues to sink deeply into their hearts. Pray for each speaker and translator that God will continue to use them as his spokesman to give the good news to a dying world! Thanks so much my friends. God bless! Signing off. Quote

Taylor Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 We had one preacher here (a college student from the USA) who was having a real problem with two little kids. These kids were very rowdy and would do annoying things like repeat whatever she said but very loudly. The adults were having a hard time hearing her and the parents of the kids didn't seem to know how to controll them. Well we prayed about it and just as she got up to speak, both little trouble makers passed out (well they went to sleep) within 10 seconds of her getting up to preach. That has never happened before! God is good! Quote

Taylor Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 There are two young girls who are preaching at one campaign site (yes we have guys preaching too but this is another "girl" story) Well, one girl was feeling a bit sick and so she prayed that if she wasn't supposed to preach that she would feel sicker. Immediately she felt like throwing up so she asked her friend to preach for her. Her friend was prepared to preach the next night but not that night. However, God has been working in this young girl's life to show her that He is there to be her backup and that he will direct her life. She took over for her sick friend and did a fantastic job as if she had really prepared that sermon. You should have seen her smile in worship! God can come through for her and she knew it! Quote

Taylor Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Also tonight at one site the translator suddenly began to feel very sick before standing up to translate. He told the preacher, "I feel like my stomache is churning and I can't breath" so they prayed together. I saw the young boy translating (He is just 16 years old) but he was doing a great job! Afterwards he said that as soon as he began to translate all his symptoms left and he felt perfectly fine. I tell you the devil isn't happy with our meetings but God always wins!:) Quote
