1. Larry Blackmer, an associate in the Education Department, has been named Vice President of the North American Division. He will be assigned the work of the Education Department.

2. Dennis Plubell, an associate in the Education Department of the North Pacific Union, has a call to become the associate in the North American Division Education Department.

3. James H. Davis, father of Jerome Davis--president of the Lake Region Conference, has passed away in Baltimore. Services are today.

4. Last weekend I spoke at the Nevada-Utah Camp Meeting held near Provo, Utah. A part of my special reward for the week-end was a young lady telling me that her boyfriend had made a decision for baptism. A news reporter for the Salt Lake newspaper attended the church worship service, and then met with me after the service and wrote an article about our church. It was one of the most positive articles that I have seen. The local P.R. person had made all the contacts, and furnished the reporter with information on our church. 5. This weekend, the REALLY LIVING show will feature Esther Doss talking about what it is like being brought up by parents who do not have the ability to hear. She says that her greatest joy is to bring the gospel to the deaf. She will be joined on the program by Elder David Trexler, who is deaf. The program will be shown on the HOPE Channel. It will be pre-empted at the normal time of 7:00 p.m. Eastern so that viewers can watch the Southeastern Camp Meeting, but can be seen at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, and on Sabbath afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Eastern, and Monday at 7:00 a.m. Eastern, and on Thursday at 11:00. a.m. Eastern.

6. Gasper Colon, Ph.D. has been named interim president of Columbia Union College.
