Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted October 10, 2004 Moderators Posted October 10, 2004 This is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Voice of Prophecy radio broadcasts in 1929. (The very first broadcast was on L.A. Radio station KNX, just 10 days before the infamous "crash" of the stock market in October 1929). VOP held its 75th Anniversary Convocation [called the Diamond Jubilee Celebration] yesterday (October 9, 2003) at the famous Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. It was an inspiring service, with lots of music (the entire Melashenko family sang together; Del Delker and Connie Vandeman Jeffery sang solos; there was a huge massed choir and orchestra; Kimo Smith and Adrian Westney Jr. played the huge pipe organ). Del Delker has been with the Voice of Prophecy continuously for 57 years!! This was also her birthday, and after her solo she was presented a towering 3-tiered birthday cake. Lonnie Melashenko (the Speaker/Director) presented an inspiring message. All in all, it was a day to remember. Quote Jeannie<br /><br /><br />...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
