They technically dress and cover up, but the clothes accentuate rather than hide their physical attributes. A pair of jeans, a well fitting sweater and a head scarf, make up and stylish foot wear - I am sure they know very well that they look good! I do not have a personal problem with any of this, and the very devout will cover up so that their shape is disguised, but it seems to be to be following the letter and not the spirit of their law! aldona Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I agree with the "letter and not the spirit of the law"...and also with one of the reader comments about the article - they may be modest in the sense of not flashing their flesh, but they are still being judged on their appearance. Kind of like Adventist women who are still pressured to look as good as the models out there "in the world" - but with the challenge of having to do it without using makeup or jewelry. I took a quick glance at the article and I found NOTHING wrong with what was protrayed...Am I missing something? There were no breasts showing...There was very little skin showing, and what was showing was not really sexual.They were well dressed overall, and showed a good use of style...Yes, they showed some curves, but if they didn't how do you tell the men from the women?
