It's a good question, and hard to know the specifics behind it.

I believe that some might be like Nan suggested - given towards "tattling." E. James Wilder suggests a couple of reasons that people demonstrate child-like behavior when confronted.

Shane I feel your pain . I will say that it is admirable when people are willing put aside their feelings and move towards reconciliation. Mature people can do this by themselves. Me, I start tomorrow .
