Hope Hitchman was born in Silverton, OR and spent the first few years of her life there. At a very young age, she decided to live her life for Jesus through the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. At the age of 18 she was baptized.

Hope was a strong willed woman who followed her dreams. She became an elementary school teacher and lived at the home of Elmer and Inez Hitchman. Hope would eventurally meet and marry their son.

This union would bring about the birth of Hope's only child, a daughter named Delleen. A change of circumstances soon made Hope a single woman with a small child to provide for. Times were tough but she did her best. They moved back home to Hope's parents' where she held several jobs to support herself and her daughter.

Through the ups and downs of her life Hope never lost faith in God and continued to play an active part in the church. Her life became full with grandchildren and great grandchildren who are blessed to have known her.

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
