The pastor in Umatilla showed the DVD of that show. There was a lot of interest as it is his son and daughter in law and dad is hoping for a grandchild but that wouldn't be the best thing. Seems that James JR has been having malaria about once a month.

Pastor Appel said that if a strong insecticide would be used on the walls of the buildings, it would knock out that threat. The world health organization agrees.

What is especially needed is a doctor that would be willing to come and stay for a length of time. First operations were 160 some in the first year. Now that is what he's doing about every month! French speaking would be helpful.

They are sending some dedicated locals to college to learn nursing but if they were to be sent to the states or the UK etc, they'd forget about going home to minister.

It would be a wonderful thing is someone would hear the call and go assist.

Oh yes, plumbers would be a great asset for a short time. They have a new well, but the tank has a leak in it and it's dripping down on the generator. There is no electric. They'd like to have water in the house but between being so busy, he knows little of mechanics and other such things.

March and April is not the best time to go as the temps are over 100 and rarely get below 95 at night.

If you wish to assist or talk with dad Appel, just send me a PM and I'll patch you through to him. He plans on going back soon as his vacation is coming up.
