Dr. Shane Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Greenpeace urges kangaroo consumption to fight global warming Quote: The eat roo recommendation is contained in a report, Paths to a Low-Carbon Future, commissioned by Greenpeace and released today. It also coincides with recent calls from climate change experts for people in rich countries to reduce red meat and switch to chicken and fish because land-clearing and burping and farting cattle and sheep were damaging the environment. They said nearly a quarter of the planet's greenhouse gases came from agriculture, which releases the potent heat-trapping gas methane. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... aldona Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 If you go into most supermarkets here in Australia you will find kangaroo meat. (No,I haven't tasted it.) I've heard that it's very low in fat and cholesterol. It's a very dark meat - darker than beef. It hasn't been very popular, I think partly because of the "eewww" factor - I know that even if I wasn't an Adventist, I couldn't bring myself to eat it after being brought up on warm and fuzzy stories about Skippy the Bush Kangaroo. aldona Quote www.asrc.org.au (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Melbourne)Helping over 2000 refugees & asylum seekers each monthIMSLP/Petrucci Music LibraryThe Public Domain Music Score Library - Free Sheet Music DownloadsLooking for classical sheet music?
