Since God is the only one who is omnipresent, where is Satan? Where would he be? I've gathered that most of the bad things that happen are caused by Satan, but probably by proxy through the workings of his minions...(evil angels?) But where in the world is Satan? Certainly is intriguing to think about. Good angels do not posses men obviously because God does not force men to do what is right. Satan does seek to control us. I disagree completely. God only abides in us (a) if we ask Him and ( if we allow Him to. Satan and/or his minions may abide in us, and when such occurs it is known as "possession" which is mentioned a number of times in the Scriptures. We do not really know how prevalent such an occurrence is today, but we certainly cannot say "everyone" has Satan abiding in them. Raphael Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Because Satan likes to travel and as an archangel, he can travel fast, plus according to prophecy, he is raving mad which means he must be unbelievably busy, so to speak. I gather that he is has that kind of omnipresence in this earthly realm. About where he hangs out, I presume that it must be at key individuals either of money or power because this earth is his kingdom and he has to run it (his way, ofcourse..) Don't you think so? If this was true ... then a lot of OR Most of the Bible characters were not "born again". Can you name even one person who did not have Satan abiding in them? If you look at David who committed a nice variety of sins ... he even conspired to committ murder on his death bed. But of course then you would say that David was never born again I guess. Could we try looking at the Murderer Moses? Was HE "born again" or not? ON and On. Like I say ... name just one person who under your definition was "born again". Born again should be born again and again which could mean perpetually, in our world time and consequently, always stay young (minimally at heart) coz you're always just newly born ... right ...? Raphael Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Now this must be pretty heavy Bible theologian stuff, I think (not so sure), of what I am about to say ... that the Holy Spirit works on all intelligences, except upon the Godhead which no one knows about except of selected disclosures. So that Satan who is just like us, creations, behaves bad and creates havoc everywhere. Except for the part that his 'higher' than us (though a bit), humans. He can play hide and seek without us never finding or encountering him... and to many of us, we'd never even know what ever hit us ... For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1John 3:8 Daniel was a perfect example of one who did not have Satan in him. But the best example, our Example, was when Jesus was here and condemned sin in the flesh. He also said that "Satan has nothing in me," which means if we are in Christ and He in us, or born again, the same applies to us. Satan is on the outside trying to get us to believe his lies and then end up sinning against God. That's why we are told to submit to God and resist the devil and he will Flea from us. He wants in but as long as we submit to God and then resist him, he cannot deceive us. God does not and never will share His temples (us) with Satan.
