Taylor Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I have relatives who are missionaries at an SDA educational entity. Yesterday, the campus was unexpectedly visited by government agents and false acusations were harshly made. This coming Tuesday there will be an important meeting to make decisions about the school. The school has done nothing wrong, and has all their paperwork in order and has existed for years. Please remember this school in your prayers that all will work out for the glory of God. Quote
Dee007 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Please know that your parents, staff & students are being lifted up in prayer as I send this note. I pray God will give them peace knowing that He is in control of ALL things and that ALL things will work together for good! I know it's hard going through this difficulty - hard not to be anxious - but He promises that He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us. And I know He is with them right now. May they feel His presence in a mighty way! With much love & prayers... Quote

Taylor Posted November 3, 2007 Author Posted November 3, 2007 Thanks so much for the prayers! I am feeling peaceful. I just really feel for the students at the school more than anything as they love their school and it is the only SDA school in the country. Quote
Guest gem Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Praying here for the safety of everybody, and that this trial would open doors so people in that place/country will know more about the Word of God. Quote
LifeHiscost Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Thanks so much for the prayers! I am feeling peaceful. I just really feel for the students at the school more than anything as they love their school and it is the only SDA school in the country. Somewhere I remember the words, "Man's extremities are God's opportunities." My prayer is that this be so for your parents and all those involved with the outcome of these circumstances. Please, Lord, let it be so according to your powerful promises. For Jesus' sake. Amen! "For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive....and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You." Psalm 86:5 AMP God Bless!! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Taylor Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Thanks for the prayers by everyone! True that Man's extremities are God's opportunities! I love that quote/thought! Quote
DrWhoCompanion Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 We will pray for them. Keep us updated. Quote
Taylor Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 When the "government powers that be" came on campus in quite unfriendly terms, they took original documents belonging to the school. Today there is a meeting to decide what will be done. No one has done anything illegal. The school has always been in good graces up to this point. I do not believe this is a target against religion or the SDA church. But keep praying. Quote
Woody Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 I can't think of a more needy thing to pray for. God be with them as they are HIS servants. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Guest gem Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Thanks for updating us. Certainly needs more prayers, as it also involves the lives of the students. I remember when one of our colleges in Asia was under "attack" several years ago, there were threats and it was so frightening for many students. The whole campus did an intercesory prayer as well as the churches all over the country who were aware of the situation. The college is situated in a valley, surrounded with mountains. Thus, some people in the campus felt safe because of it, but most of all they felt safe because they know the Lord was with them. With God's protection, nothing tragic happened and the situation allowed us to be strong. It was also an opportunity to show to the people who dwell on the mountains that we are the people of God. Taylor Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 Thanks Gem. I do not want to overstate the situation and I want to be very careful. After all I am not in that country so I do not know this first hand, even though my relatives are there. They said that classes are continuing as normal and it is peaceful on campus. People are trusting in God that this can be resolved. There are people in government that are very supportive of the school or at least have been in the past. However considering that innacurate acusations have been made there is still need for prayer. However, church leaders are fully aware and working on this situation. They are wonderful leaders and have been such a blessing. Quote
