Missionary Held hostage... what would you do..

Should this happen.. Missionary couple held hostage for 5,000,000 that must be paid in one week, no negotiations. If police or Gov't are notified the missionaries will be executed.

You can

a) Pay the man

Pray about it, wait for a miracle

c) Ignore it, go home and watch TV

d) Hire a paramilitary group to go in an evacuate them, most possibly at the cost of lives of the kidnappers.

Well, I had to ask.

Actually, I would take the risk and notify the police, especially since kidnappers in most parts of the world kill the hostages any way even after getting the ransom.

?Con que ropa? Who are you asking to pony up the 5-mil to pay off the kidnappers? I would not expect the G.C. to come up with that amount. Each time we went out into mission service we told our loved ones that if something happened to us just bury us there. No ransoms,no shipping bodies back.......We are told to "Go"...nobody said that we "Have" to come back!
