Stan Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Grand Rapids, November 8, 2004, 7:47 a.m.) Getulio Rodriguez is a pastor at the Bethel Two Spanish 7th Day Adventist Church. Five days ago he just disappeared. His keys were still in the ignition of his car, and nothing was out of place at his Grand Rapids apartment. The search turned to the use of tracking dogs, in an attempt to find any clue of where he may be. Tracking dogs picked up Rodriguez's scent, leading investigators to an abandoned house just yards from his apartment, but a search found nothing. His family says they're praying for the best. Rodriguez was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket and gray pants. A $3,500 reward has been offered. If you have any information on the disappearance of Getulio Rodriguez, call Grand Rapids police or Silent Observer at 774-2345. Stan Posted December 7, 2004 Author Posted December 7, 2004 Body found hanging in tree identified as missing Michigan man Monday, December 6, 2004 ASSOCIATED PRESS GRAND RAPIDS -- The Kent County medical examiner's office says a body some hunters found hanging in a tree is that of a missing former clergyman. The body of Getulio Rodriguez, 63, was discovered Sunday in southeastern Kent County. He disappeared Nov. 3 from a Grand Rapids apartment. An autopsy led to a positive identification made Monday, said the medical examiner's office. Questions about a cause of death were directed to the Grand Rapids Police Department, which did not return call. The death was being investigated as a likely suicide, police Detective Les Smith told The Grand Rapids Press. Rodriguez, a father of three, moved to Grand Rapids two years ago from Argentina with his wife. He retired as a minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Argentina and was active in the church in Grand Rapids.
