Does G-d love Satan?

satan is not a person, he is an angelic being. Though his fall must have changed him, he is still an angel.

Ok, regarding Satan as a person

my bad...

Substitute the word "intelligent being" for person....and the principle and context remain the same.

Satan is an intelligent being who has railed against God and damaged himself to the point that he can no longer repent and become the person that God intended him to be origionally. And we are not required to love him, but also we are not required to hate him either..

reading the verse before that gives us context. John is talking about people. 1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

God is love and Satan is evil. Each one; love and evil is a principle. We cannot separate love from God or evil from Satan.

Pro 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

I must also add that we can hate him but not in the way that he hates, but in the way God hates.
