Urgent ..Parents Robbed at Gunpoint...

Tonight, my parents were robbed at gunpoint. My Dad was tied, gagged, kicked (but not terribly hard, but then again my Dad is the type to never complain about pain. He says it hurt to be kicked but no broken bones so he was grateful.) and threatened with death by shooting. They kept brandishing guns in my Dad's face. My Mom was gagged but not tied like my Dad. My parents were calm but the thieves got away with the money in their house, their bank cards, and other documents, keys, cameras etc. They threatened to kill my dad several times but thankfully did not. They are fine now, but doubtless will get very little sleep the rest of the night as now they are fully awake. The bankcards have been turned off so they can't get any money that way but still...it is disconcerting to know how much information they do have.

Please pray for protection and that the thieves do not return for any reason. Proper authorities have been notified.

Thank you SOOO much Redwood! Your post brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for your prayers. My parents live a long ways from where I live and so I kinda feel helpless to do anything. But God cares and I am trusting Him tonight that he will do what is best for my parents.

I'm saddened to hear how vulnerable that anyone I know might be threatened by the prince of darkness. It seems as if God has already revealed His ability to deliver your parents, though it is understandable they must still be going through a measure of disquietud. I always see these types of circumstances as revealing an opportunity for exercising faith in God's ability when the enemy comes in like a flood.

We will bring your parents in prayer before the Sabbath School in the morning.

They are alive...consider the work the angels must have been doing to prevent your parents from being killed. Praise God, they are alive...I wonder what the Holy Spirit said to them to keep them from shooting....Wow! God was active this night! Praise Him for keeping your parents alive!

I just now read your post. So sorry to hear that happened! It is outrageous. Thank God that they did not harm your parents more. I too will pray for them, and for God's protection for your family.

I am horrified to learn of what your parents went thru and how frightening it must have been for them!! As already mentioned, God DID protect their lives, and for that I praise His Holy name!! I pray that the information that they stole will somehow not be able to be used by them!! Yes, we are definitely in enemy territory. I will continue to remember them in my prayers.

Thanks so much Stan and Morning Glory, and David Koot, Redwood, Neil, Cricket, pkraus,olger, lifehiscost and everyone who has read this. Your prayers are definately appreciated! I just pray that my parents can sleep well tonight. They realize that God protected them from any further harm yesterday. It could have been much worse.

They have great friends in the area who are rallying around them but they really appreciate all your prayers. I found out tonight that one of the thieves actually hit my mother in the mouth and at one point pointed the gun at her face directly. I just feel for them so much that they had to go through this. But I know God was with them as they were unbelievably calm during the situation and had peace even after. Of course they were shaken and so grateful to be alive, frightened at what could have happened but God is good in giving "peace that passes all understanding.".

Oh, this is absolutely ghastly. Living in a metropolis, I'm constantly on guard and looking over my shoulder, knowing that at any time I could become a victim like that.

Please give your parents my condolences, and I'm praying they can overcome this trauma with no lasting ill effects.

Thanks Jeannieb43! As we near the end of this world, I am sure such injustices will increase in frequency but it still isn't pleasant when it happens to a family member or close friend. Makes me long for heaven even more than before.
