It's cold, dark, and frozen. It's -18F, the sun won't come up until 10:58 am and will set at 2:44 pm. The roads are slick but chains are not required.

Hot cocoa and a good book... mmmmmmm

A heart where He alone has first place.

Partly cloudy and windy, high of 64 today. It rarely snows here, so the roads are fine if y'all want to come on down. I'm trying to decide whether to brave the crowds for the post-Christmas bargains.

Warm enough to tackle the fallen leaves for the fifth time this season...and I'm still not done!

Tomorrow is another day in the lower 50s F. Maybe I'll get the back yard and the gutters done!

Neil, I hope to head through there in a couple of days.. how is the the road between Californian and Orgeon? Are chains mandatory?

I drive a van with about 700 lbs of oxygen tanks in the cargo section with studded tires...I have no problem with snow....However, I know of some 4 wheel drive toy pickup trucks that are a bit light....and some regular 4 wheelers that are a bit light too....and they have problems with 4 inches or more of snow.

Siskyous are requiring chains, I suppose...I haven't heard of anything though...I know that the pass to K-Fall was requiring chains if you were towing a trailer or if you were 10000 lbs vehicular weight....Um...you aren't that big, are you??? llama

Just asking! Just asking!....Not implying anything...at all... surrender

If you are going to K-Falls, or Redding, I suggest that you have them available....It's the wise thing to do this year...

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Traction devices ARE REQUIRED at all Oregon Mt. passes right now.

Best day looks to be Sunday but it depends on whether or not the chain requirement is lifted.

Here in wild, wonderful, West Virginia we've been blessed to have fairly warm temps in the upper 40's to low 50's. Mostly sunny with some rain thrown in for good measure. However, it would appear that we will be returning to a more seasonal forecast with the onset of the new year. They are calling for snow on new years day... gah

Well, Stan, if you are planning to go to California friday, stop by my house in Medford, and I will help you put them on...

Of course, by the time you get here, you might be required to put them on...

I will put on a skit, Sabbath morning if you are here, at my Church. You are welcomed to come... But in the afternoon, I am heading to the coast.

Still say you are gonna need chains....even when you come back this way....Last I heard, there were 8 storms lined up between here and japan...And the Lord has been answering my prayer for lots of water this year...in the form of snow.....

Sorry....
