Neil D Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I am not sure if it is out as of this writing, but a trailer for a movie showed a "Bucket List"...IOWs, things you want to do before you kick the bucket. What sort of things would you like to do before you "kick the bucket"? I am going to assume that the longer the list, the younger you are..... Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 28, 2007 Members Posted December 28, 2007 I would kick the dog before I'd kick the bucket. that's not funny. I would love to be able to have a dog again before I kick the bucket. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Woody Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Quote: that's not funny. Perhaps you misunderstood my intentions Pam. I was saying that I don't intend to "kick the bucket" ... I would sooner kick the dog than to kick the bucket. I hope I've made myself clear. I have a loving little puppy dog that I just got this summer. He is blind and therefore gets enough abuse from inanimate objects that he runs into. I would not want to heap anymore abuse on him. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Neil D Posted December 28, 2007 Author Posted December 28, 2007 ladies and gentlemen, This is a list of things that you want to do before your life ends....not about animal abuse... Let me illustrate- I would like to have a warm and comfortable house, with 5 acres to farm and grow my own food, and for grandkids to play around. It has to have a year round creek... I would also like to visit Australia again. I would also like to visit the East Coast of the US and see the Smithsonian Institute and the capital of the US, Washington DC. I would like to hike along the pacific coast trail. I would like to go scuba diving in all places that I would visit and have my own equipment again... I would like to have experienced church growth from a few people to a large congregation. I would like to be intimately involved in many people's lives.... And most of all, I would love being alive when Jesus comes to take us home.... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Halfstep-Denise Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I would kick the bucket before I'd kick the Dog! I miss having a Dog around! I did understand what you meant, Redwood! How is your puppy? Halfstep-Denise Quote "God doesn't make junk". - Pastor David Ring
Woody Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Thanks HD ... I just love my puppy dog and it hurts me so much when he runs into the trees or my footrest on my recliner when he doesn't "see" it. I wish I could buy him a hard hat or helmet. Do they have such things for puppy dogs? Anyway ... I don't want to hijack Neil's thread. Maybe I can add to the bucket list by saying that I would like to find a way to restore my puppy's sight before I kick the bucket. And NO Olger ... It WAS what I meant. Try seeing the best in people. It really does help one to feel better. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted December 28, 2007 Author Posted December 28, 2007 OOOoooookay!!!!! Everyone's agreed. The dog ain't gonna get kicked. What else would you like to do if money were no object, and before you kick the bucket? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw

What else would you like to do if money were no object, and before you kick the bucket? If I had the money and the health ability ... I would travel to the State of Jefferson to visit my son. He is one of those rebels from Jefferson. I think we have a representitive here on CA also. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Amelia Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Well, I had hoped to learn to windsurf before I turned 50. But that can also be on my bucket list.
