That's how God knows what we need before we ask... Our spiritual companion will never leave us, even though we descend into the darkest of life's tar pits. This may be your experience, Clio, but it has most certainly not been mine. I have called on Him multiple times and been totally ignored. I have a question for you. Jesus is recorded as healing the sick when He was here on Earth - to such an extent that after He had passed through some villages, He had healed every sick person in that village. So He has the power to heal any sickness. Does He heal evey sick person who calls on Him today? I am sure you realise that the answer to this question is "No". Another question: Does He heal some of the sick persons who call on Him? According to the anecdotal evidence, the answer appears to be "Yes" Now the real question, the $1 000 000 question: How does He decide who is going to be the lucky winners? Is it arbitrary? Or are there some criteria we must meet before He will consider healing us? Did the people in Judea during His lifetime all meet these criteria? Every single person in a village? Perhaps it would be nice if He spelt out the criteria for us. Or if it is just arbitrary, He should stop this behavior. Either heal all who call on Him, or none. No favoritism.
