As one of my friends noted, Iowa is pretty white, so it's hard to suggest any more that race would be a factor that would make him unelectable in itself (though I guess Iowa isn't in the south). I like him more on policy than I do Hillary, and also like Edwards more on policy, so I see this as a very encouraging outcome. Huckabee beating Giuliani also feels like good news to me. He speaks well and looks well and acts well. If only he can become a good manager--picking good people to work with him, then inspiring them to do their best. WithOUT micromanaging. I'm just sick and tired of this Dubya and his puppets. Unfortunately, his radical rightwing influence will live on long after he's gone, because he has succeeded in packing the courts with lifetime appointments of rightwing judges. OK. I was going to resist saying this ... but you have brought it out. Iowa is WHITE and SO is Obama. To say that Obama is Black seems racist to me. Why pick out one race over another. He is just as much White as he is Black. Truth ... He is 1/2 white and 1/2 black. Not just Black. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. He lost a lot of weight and is now big on health and nutrition - I really like that. And he would continue appointing constructionist judges to the bench - that is certainly important. They are counting on the Feb 5 2008 primaries where California winner take all and New York and several other states primaries are holding their elections that day. Why do you think that is? To say 'Obama is white' because he's half-white, and to pretend that makes race not an issue, is a bit disingenuous, in my opinion.
