Please keep my good friend Jim Bowyer in your prayers. "Grandpa" as Jim is affectionately known by several of us at Church is 84 and has been in frail health for some time. Not exactly sure WHY but know he has to get blood transfusions on a regular basis and lately they've not been doing what they're suppposed to be doing.

From what I heard this evening, his wife (Grandma Doris) and another good friend took Jim to the ER and he has been admitted. It doesn't look good at this point. Doris and Jim have had nearly 60 years of married life and she is not handling this illness very well at all. I am so thankful that Jim allowed Jesus into his heart back about 7 years ago and has been a faithful follower ever since.

He is so tired of living right now (his words!)...please pray that he not suffer needlessly and that his beloved family feel the love of God during this time and can let Jim go to his rest.

Thank you!

Thank you for your prayers for Grandpa Jim.

He rallied yesterday with the help of IV meds and has started eating again. His doctor said Grandma Doris just needed to start having hospital food catered in...lol. He was given another blood transfusion today and allowed to come home (amazingly).

I was able to go visit with Grandpa last evening and was amazing to find him sitting up in a chair and from what I was told, he had been up all day. (PTL!) Grandma Doris was quite tired but glad that he had "turned a corner" on this for now but with his blood transfusions getting more often feels it is just a matter of time...God's time and is at peace with that. Before I left him I had prayer with him and he thanked me for praying for him, I told him, "I am one of many" and told him that I'd ask you folks to join in praying for him. He was amazed that there was an extended church family that even tho they didn't know him, would pray for him. He was deeply moved by that.

Grandma ask me if anyone in Australia was a member here and I told her yes several and she just shook her head...lol. She has visited New Zealand I believe, so she knows how far away you folks downunder are. It just amazes her that her husband in the US is being prayed for from folks all over the world. She thinks the internet is so facinating!

Please continue to keep Grandpa Jim as well as Grandma Doris in your prayers in your prayers.

Thanks!
