On the second vote I picked "other" because I wanted to pick all the above.

On the second one I wanted to pick all of them too. I did limit myself to just three though.

It is funny now that you brought this up. We use to watch a lot of t.v., cable, movies, I mean a lot; but since my husband has been studying for his chosen profession more and more, our viewing has dropped drastically.

I know TMI, but I felt wordy.

Between my two satellite dishes ... I have hundreds of channels. By the time I check what is on ... I missed an entire show and have to start over.

This is no tongue in cheek. This is real. I am a regular TV junkie. Well in addition to being a CA junky.

LOL, you remind me of my dad. He would get the clicker and start: click--watch this channel for a one or two minutes...then click..watch the next channel for one or two minutes....then click... so on and so forth until *I* wanted to scream--PICK SOMETHING ALREADY; but of course, you didn't raise your voice to my dad, so I would read until he finally would settle on something...usually a western or a football game.

Oh Yeah. The Old time Westerns are my most favorites. But only from the 1950s. Once you get to the 60s ... it becomes to violent for my taste. I guess I am just a little old fashioned.

Old time as in Roy Rogers the singing cowboy, or Audie Murphy in Destry, John Wayne in The Cowboys?

I am not a Roy Rogers fan. But the other two will do. My favorite though is Randolph Scott.

You have a channel that just plays Westerns?!?!? My t.v. viewing would dramatically increase if I had it, and we would never be able to get my dad out of his Lazyboy.

Can I give a little ad here. Sign up with Direct TV Satellite service and you can see Westerns 24/7 on the Westerns Channel.

I have it on even while I am doing my CA obligations for ya'll .

Regular TV...Normally I catch the NBC Today show and once in awhile, Oprah but there are times I turn it off. And PBS when they have some interesting history on it.

When I was staying with my sister, there was Discovery, History, and those home improvement channels on the Direct Network.

I grew up with one of the first TVs in the vicinity of Andrews back in the early 50s. Ed Sullivan was the standard Sunday evening programing.

After school there was Roy Rogers and the other cowboy shows plus the Mickey Mouse Club. Don't forget Robin Hood with Richard Green.

Days and times were much simplier back then. About the most questionable thing we saw on TV were the cigarette commercials.

Kids went out to play and not have to worry about preverts coming around to snatch you off the streets when you walked the distance to and from the campus in our small community.

I'm looking forward to having the broadband so I can watch Amazing Facts and 3ABN on my pc.

I have been really shocked at what is allowed on after-school TV. For years we only watched PBS, but then we started watching some other channels after school (when PBS became too "babyish" and "boring") and most of the shows were really awful. The sitcoms were full of sexual topics and other stuff I didn't consider acceptable for a preteen. And these were "family" shows!

Now we just hardly watch TV at all. We'll rent movies or use the TV to play GameCube or whatever. I don't think we will hardly notice when the airwaves go all digital next year. I guess we could subscribe to cable and get better channels.

I am surprised that only 4 people that voted have Christian TV in their home. Buying a Christian satellite dish is the best thing I ever did for my spiritual life since getting baptized. The old hym "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" became a reality as it says "... and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace." It took about a year before I really started enjoying it but now the networks' prime-time programs have little attraction to me. I much prefer to see who is on Really Living or 3ABN Today than to see what Hollywood thinks should be important to me.

Here lately, over the past few months, I've been mostly watching gospel channels. right now I am watching Mercy Me on the GMC channel. I'm going to miss the sky angel gospel network when they go off satellite at the end of this quarter.

My favorite channel to watch is 3ABN, which I receive with the dish network 61.5 satellite and satellite dish. I never did by a FTA dish so I can get hope tv.

We're in the process of moving. We've been in this house since about '96, and then decided to sell. We're going to lease a house for awhile. First thing I'm doing is asking the land lord if I can put up a dish so that I can get 3ABN. Gotta have 3ABN.

Currently we don't have a cable/satellite tv provider, nor do we have cable internet. I'm using a laptop with wifi right now. I am thinking about getting this cable tv, internet, and digital phone package from comcast next week, just so that I can record the superbowl on a dvr. I am going to be working at my parttime job during that game. The only way I will be able to see it is if I get this particular package from comcast. I conservative voice in the back of my mind is telling me I should suffer through not seeing the superbowl and just watch 3abn and fox news on sky angel (until I can't get it anymore).

Current IPTV is not in my plans. that could change though.
