Easy Free SDA TV

Hi all I watch a lot of Adventist TV and got tired of jumping around so I have started working on an easy control for Adventist TV. Take a look and tell me if any one would be interested in me working on it further. And what would you like to see added? Archives of programs? Other non Adventist christian stations? Or something else? Any way I have the test site up on an extra domain until I can figure out a name. Please take a look and tell me what you think. Easy SDA TV Test.

Also its only tested with firefox. Tested and works but does not look right with Internet Explorer. Tested and works in Opera leaves artifact under video box. If any one tests it with something else let me know.

I thought of an easy way to add all of the good videos from youtube so soon it will have an archive section. Amazing Facts has a youtube channel. Plus there are many other good health videos etc there.

The archive section is now working. If you click on the little button next to play a menu pops up to let you browse the videos. Also when you mouse over the screen you get left and right arrows. The videos are all just on youtube. Also I added some twice but I will fix that when I am more awake.

Well I looked around last night and today and finely found a good domain name. Its TVGISMO.COM - TVgismo.com. Nothing there yet as I just registered it but it should be up in a couple of days.

Also was just going to update the other thread but it looks like it only lets you edit threads for a fixed period of time.

I believe LLBN and SafeTV have streamline. It would be great if you could add 3ABN Latino and Canal Esperanza too. I would like to promote the site when you get it refined.

Also as a general question would you rather it have a LOT of tv channels or just a few selected ones? I am leaning to a fewer selected ones. Say 15-20 instead of 3000 worthless ones.

Also the plans at the moment are to add say 1 or 2 good news channel like the BBC and say a couple of nature and eduction channels.

SafeTV is ran by an Adventist and on Sabbath has almost exclusively Adventist programing on it. LLBN is obviously Adventist as Loma Linda is an Adventist university.

I only know of a handful of Adventist channels. I wouldn't want to see the site filled with a bunch of non-Adentist channels. But that is just my opinion.

Just an update while I am thinking about it. The site to stay simple and CHEAP for me to make to start with will have 12 channels. And only be in English. Later the site will be done as a very fancy flash site that makes it easy to control more channels. When I get the money that is:)

Also here is a little upate.

Taking bids on getting the site updated to its easy for me to add new channels and manage them. As I would like more but still a limited number. Or possibly I will set it up so it has a very big list of say 1500 channels and the user gets to choose whats on his list. Not sure yet.

Any way depending on cost and my funds at the time I hope to have it updated soon.

Also I know it does not work well on safari but will try and get that fixed.

Just had another idea. Would any one be interested in me making a little widget you could past in any site that would have 3ABN, Hope and Amazing Facts TV channels in them? No special coding or anything would be need. Just cut and past.

Not to say other Christian media sources are never worthwhile watching, but having access to a number of satellite programs and viewing some theatrical Bible productions, getting theology from them can lead far away from the Bible.

Well its always a problem. But if you have noticed you can get mixed messages from the Adventist channels also.

Matter of fact I am trying to figure out how many christian stations to have. And there are good programs mixed with the bad.

And it seems to be I can go two way here. I can have lot of channels and feature adventist channels. This would probably bring the most people to the site and get the most views of the adventist content.

Or I can only have a very few channels and mainly have Adventists as viewers.

Any way I welcome any thoughts on this:)

I think I understand your position.

Yesterday when clicking on some of the URLs you posted, one of them (it was the weather URL I believe) a web page came up giving me links to a designated porno web and another with explicit sexual expletives. I extrapolated that in my mind to a sanctuary scene featuring the ark of God alongside the statue of the god Dagon. It was not difficult for me to decide under that scenario what my decision would be.

I am not sure what you "understand" the weather link goes back to the site http://www.channelking.com/. And not the weather channel. It does this because I worked all night trying to get together this resource. With no pay on my own time.

If you look at the site I made http://www.tvgismo.com there are no links at all. The only thing it does is show selected TV feeds and videos. If you have an issue with one of those then please let me know and I will consider removing it.

No issue. Just thought you would be interested in knowing the turns available to whoever your audience might be.

Your willingness to put yourself out on a limb for the provision of opening the gospel to a wider audience is commendable. I've pursued a couple of other offerings you've posted, especially enjoyed the National Geographic.

Not living in a perfect world sometimes makes it difficult to keep rhe view focused on the primary objective of enhancing the means to finishing the work necessary for hastening the coming of Jesus.

There are lots of distractions.

And some more about what is going on the site. I do not know. But I am just praying to figure it out. I do know I do not want all 3000 stations that are out there on the net. And I know I want more than 3abn, hope and amazing facts. But that leaves a huge range in the middle.

Really by far the biggest hurdle is money. As my main skill is as a an artist so Flash and PHP etc needed to make it a really handy site has to be done by someone I hire.
