olger Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 A friend from Texas sent me this on Tuesday. He was in a large city and hired a limo for transportation. "So, my "limo" driver was an Egyptian Christian. Came to the US in 1974. Very interested in politics. Anyway, he was sharing his thoughts about our current administration and more particularly "W". Oddly enough, he strongly supports "W" and his pro-active stance on the middle east. Although his English was good, it was a little hard to follow the conversation as we were driving along in the dark with the headlights and dashlights out (electrical problem in the car). He barely noticed that he couldn't see the road. I on the other hand asked him if his headlights were out...oh, yeah... Anyway, he told me that George was a strong man for security of the US and he saw this as a good thing. And more importantly, he spoke of the persecution he experienced in Egypt before coming here at 20 years old. He felt that taking on radical Islam was a bold and wise move by "W". It was the right thing to do. I didn't see much need to debate it with him. I did tell him I wasn't real excited about Iraq, but I thought we should have been more pro-active in Afghanistan and finished our business there." oG Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
