It's relatively cheap today, and it's a must for me with multimedia design as it is only way to avoid the dual screen setups that can get bulky. Right now I'm running at 1680x1050, and it is similar to what I would get if I ran 1280 x 2 monitors.

So, go for it! I'm generally a big fan of CTR monitors as they are constant brightness from different viewing angles, but they are SOOO bulky! I remember I had to carry one from post office to my dorm room in college, and I almost passed out. It was one of the nicer 21 inch ones.

But, I never understood people who would buy a beast of the computer and use it for e-mailing, word processing, and Internet browsing. Comparable to buying a School Bus just to give a ride for your two kids to and from school.

OK, I see.

Not only an old dinosaur square kind, but an old Aussie dinosaur square kind!

Finest kind!

Looks pretty evenly divided here so far. This site does look better and some of the threads are even easier to read with a wide screen. So those that spend a lot of time here may want to consider getting a wide screen.

My wife gave me a 19 inch flat screen Samsung monitor for Christmas for HER computer ( which I use mostly)....I would never go back to the old models and will be purchasing one for MY computer when I get back to using it,

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
