Want to hear a funny?

First a little background: My dh is blind. The actual condition he has is very rare and genetic. Early in the morning he can "see" but as the day wears on everything just fades away until he can't see anything other than light and dark by the evening. Getting him to stop driving has been a struggle.

Now the funny story.

Dh has some early morning clients so he had to be out of the house by 6:00 am. He decided to drive. On the way home around 9:00am he decided to drop by his blind advocates office. At that office he finally received his white cane. He walked out to the car wearing his dark glasses and using his white cane then got into the car and drove away.

I really wished I could see the faces of people who watched that.

You gave me a good laugh the other night when you said that if your dh had a sailboat, he would pick a fight with you just so he could sleep on it. But I do fully understand.
