Neil D Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 The news this morning is all doom and gloom...Energy prices are rising, homes foreclosing, inflation is up, and the religious population of the US is changing...And the traffic in ClubAdventist is all serious with the hows, whatfores of religious disscussion... With all this "news", I was wondering how you are being affected. How is your employer doing? What are your economic prospects? In general, how are YOU doing? Amelia Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 I'm still on the verge of being layed off. God's will be done in this matter. Liz Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Lots of major life changes coming our way. Dh is one and a half classes away from finishing his BA in Psychology, then we need to find a college with a Master's program that fits what he wants to do. Hopefully he will be able to find a job, so we can put his computer business out of business, as it is becoming too difficult for him to do. We might have to move to meet either of these challenges. Which of course, will set up a whole new string of problems in itself. All in all I think I am *doing* o.k. we try and remember to be flexible and bend with the wind, not rigid where we will snap. Guest gem Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Well, With church, we had a good program last Sabbath, it was followed by a fellowship meal, had some visitors who came to joined us for the first time and some who participated in the program were regular visitors. With work, trying to balance between 2-3 jobs, but making sure I have time just for myself and to do things I want to do for fun. As for future things, I got signed up to that package that includes "Freedom of Choice". Anybody else hears or knows more about it? Still under 40 here. When I arrived home yesterday I was thinking if I did the right thing, and would it be better if the contribution will be invested it myself, or go for it and have peace of mind knowing that if something unexpected happen-things will be taken care of.
