It is only 37 percent. I could not find what the rate for SDAs was. It also says that Protestants are losing their majority status quickly. I understand this is because a much larger percentage of people are identifying themselves as either agnostic or atheist. I could be wrong but that's what I read somwhere. Now, most who don't go to church talk about God...That seems to me that they are not be secularized, but rather are more religious....or psuedo religious.... Heheheheh....During the work week, I see a minimum of 4 people a day, strangers mostly....and we talk about God...They are the ones who bring it up... I admit to seeing a select group...but....I dont think that there is what you call a "secularization" of people...They really want to talk about religion..... Can I ask ... is this group of a certain age group mostly? I guess I was thinking of the elderly. It seems that age group is often more receptive to God. Neil D Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I mostly see the older generation...but I get to see some new parents whose kids need 02 for a while...they are the same...listening to Christian radio, TV...perhaps the state of Jefferson is far more religious than the rest of the country, but I see the same thing in Florida, Georgia and Tenn. when I visited back there last year... The change came around when Jimmy Carter became president...It was ok for Christians to say something then...and they have become embolden ever since.... The radio station KTSY in Idaho is a contemporary Christian radio station owned by the Adventist Conference....It has made a profound impact upon the region where Mormon and Catholics and other Christians reside. The Adventist name is much more well recieved there than anywhere else than I have been. And I have been to the Adventist ghettos...
