Amelia Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I was browsing through your Flickr photos and came across this one titled "White Duck" I hate to tell you this but that is not a duck. It's a goose! Moderators Bravus Posted February 29, 2008 Moderators Posted February 29, 2008 Yeah, should do that - she's a cutie (though she never stays still long enough to be photographed). I'll be taking some weird photos of myself for a project with a guy in Hawaii (long story) so I might post them too for your amusement. Quote Truth is important

Moderators Nan Posted February 29, 2008 Moderators Posted February 29, 2008 Coming late into this discussion, Bravus you would be a gander not a goose!!! And is your dog a blue heeler? or part thereof. She looks like she likes to be part of the action. Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted February 29, 2008 Moderators Posted February 29, 2008 Yep, she had to be held down for the photo because otherwise she'd have been sprinting and leaping and panting and 'laughing' with her eyes. She's a lot of fun but kind of high maintenance because she was bred to run behind a herd of cattle all day - so in a suburban backyard she needs lots of exercise. We take her for walks, and to the park to chase a ball, but she also sprints along the fenceline (without barking) for every single car that drives up the road past our place. She's worn a furrow in the lawn, but at least it keeps her fit and active. She's a blue heeler cross who-knows-what that we got from the RSPCA. She's mostly that grey colour with a black head and a large black spot on her rump. Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted February 29, 2008 Moderators Posted February 29, 2008 And Nan, if I'd had a closer gander at that bird I wouldn;t have ended up looking such a goose! Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted February 29, 2008 Moderators Posted February 29, 2008 And now for something completely different: Quote Truth is important
Planey Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Be excellent to each other!! ROFLOL Are you referring to Dave and his dog or Dave and his guitar? Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
cricket Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Though I don't think the explanation is likely necessary for Bravus, I was referring to the catch-phrase from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Quote
Planey Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I'm so sorry for my ignorance. Way too highbrow for me I'm afraid. Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Shoot, man, if that dog is that energy crazy, haven't you attempted to cash in on that energy producing fur machine? Tell your students to hook up a generator to this bouncing dog and get a bit of cash from the local electrical company! Pass the student, and I am sure it is a win-win-win for all concerned.....well, except for the pretroleum/electrical producing company that supply electricity to your home....
