David Koot Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Incidentally, Col. 2:16 - 17 is one of those passages which has been altered by some modern translations. Be careful which version of the Bible you rely on. Better yet, go to the Greek NT. And Strong's is NOT a reliable study tool for serious study of Biblical languages. Quote
Guest truthseeker007 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Thanks David. That was very clear. Especially the fact that the sabbath existed from the very beginning. It was installed because of the creation. Quote
Neil D Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 If the sabbath was an important issue, one could also argua that Jesus would have stressed that day explicitly. One could also argue, that it was very normal to keep the sabbath and therefore the bible doesn t mention it explicitly. I don t know, Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Guest truthseeker007 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Ok sorry Neil, i misunderstood. You are right That IS cold logic. And i am a lover of logic because it can lead to many hidden truths. Now at the moment i am investigating some Dutch anti sda site and here they have the following things against the sabbath: - In genesis God created the sabbath just for himself - In genesis the only commandment was not to eat from the tree. (this is something i found very interesting. When adam and eve where still sinless it was because they didn t have the secret knowledge of good and evil. Why install rules for people who are without sin? There was no sin) confusing all those pro and cons. I could study them all my life without knowing the truth Quote
