"Obama is in the lead because he is Black". This is according to a former Vice Presidential candidate .. Geraldine Ferrero. who is a leader in the Clinton campaign.

Boy o Boy ... the race is heating up with the Democrats.

Ack, Clinton just needs to concede already and focus on getting the country back on track.

I'm all for that. If she concedes then we can focus on beating Obama so we can get this country back of track.

Go McCain!!

For full disclosure ... Geraldine Ferrero stated that she is NOT a racist and resents the implications. Plus she says that Obama had better "cool" it because IF he wins the nomination ... he will want her to help raise money.

Oh Boy o Boy. The tempt. is getting hotter.

It appears that Obama will get the victory in most of the 48 states.

May we be one so that the world may be won.

Well ... That did Ferraro in. She would appear to have been found in disfavor in the Clinton camp. The official news is that SHE stepped down. But whatever ... Ferraro is gone.

McCain will get this country 'back on track' alright. About like his buddy, current Prez Bush. If he wins I feel a draft coming on, as in military draft.

I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs.

Ferrero proves that there are Dems as well as Republicans who don't get it when it comes to race

Well, now she is a free agent...able to express her true views without repercussions from Hillary's camp...And last I heard, as of last night, she was "unrepentant" in her statement....

bigsigh

Sounds to me like she got canned or was pressured to quit. Isn't that repercussions?

I am talking about post "hillary's camp".....she is may have been pressured to quit, but now, if she still supports hillary, she can say what she feels....without repercussions...

And since she has left, she has made one more statement to the press....she was unrepentant in her statement....claimed that the press took her out of context...OOOoooookay....

Well, if Obama was white, wouldn't he just be another well-spoken liberal with less than two years experience in federal politics?

It's true. I really like the man's speaking abilities. But we need a president who can do more than that. We need one who has been tested and has had some experience in governing. I don't see what Obama has accomplished to cause me to want him to be the president. I think that the fact that there is nothing there but a good speaking ability is going to be a major problem for him.

How do you know there is nothing there? The flip side of not having been there a long time is that it's hard to make that judgement. It's quite possible that there's a lot there - after all, being able to speak well evidences intelligence and thoughtfulness.

Given that McCain in his positions and alliances is looking more and more like Bush III, I know which of those two is likely to do less to damage the country. Come on: 'Bomb bomb Iran' to the tune of a Beach Boys song? Is that *really* the guy you want with his hand on the big button?

I have known a few used car salesmen that were real good speakers and not men I would have voted for President. What I want to see in Obama is character. Character matters and if he has it, it will contrast him greatly from Clinton. Character is even more important than experience. That is what he needs to show us.

I have been impressed that the guy is running a clean campaign...When it comes to the dirty tricks that the Clintons have used, he has taken the time to explain and show where the mis-information is at. And he has done it, time and time again....

In my book, that is a mark of a leader...one who takes the time to educate. One who refutes the miss-information that comes out of the opponent and who REFUSES to stoop to the same level as the opponent. That is Character.....

Clinton is willing to win at any cost, and when she sees that dirty politics/mudslinging is NOT gonna work, she is quick to see it. She is a quick study. But her character is suspect.

Of course, none of the republicans on this board can see that...[OOOOOoooooh, slam dunk! ROFLMHO]

Oh yes, Obama is intelligent enough, no doubt of that. I'm not questioning his intelligence. When I say, "there is nothing there," I don't mean to imply an intellectual vacuousness. I mean that, so far as I know, there are no evident accomplishments in his past to warrant being elected president of the United States. As far as I've seen up to this point, Obama's main appeal is the fact that he wants change and will bring all the troops home from Iraq.

It's interesting to note that both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were terrible speakers. It shows that you can be highly intelligent and make an excellent President without being a good speaker. Again, I like Obama's rhetoric and his style; I just want to see more than that. For me it's not enough that he gives a good speech. I want to see what he did in terms of leadership in the Senate to deserve the White House. I understand he's considered the most liberal Senator in the house.

Might want to fact-check that last sentence - i saw a pretty good deconstruction of that claim somewhere.

Yes, I'm going to be checking out a lot of things really well between now and the election. We have to do this next one right. It could be the most important election since 1980.

You've got that right. Reagan was the man in the right place at the right time. I almost voted for Carter for the second time too. But I didn't, mostly because of what Reagan said in a radio ad the night before the election. He asked voters to think about whether they were better off in November 1980 than they were four years earlier. I wasn't, and it appears that many others were not, either. Based on what happened afterwards, we can be certain that if Carter had been re-elected, the USSR wouldn't have collapsed when it did and things in Europe would not have taken the turn they did, either.

Obama is an affirmative action president. I said that in 2008 and it becomes more true by the week.
