Amelia Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Well I stopped off at the grocery store near me to pick up a few lunch items. I had a coupon for my fav soy milk and wanted to get that too. As I was making my way through the aisles to the back and the dairy case, I noticed that product prices had taken a huge jump up since last time I was there a week ago. So I get to the dairy case and wouldn't you know it. My soy milk also too a jump up. This milk only comes in half gal sizes. I use to pay $2.99. Now it's up to $3.59. My coupon was for $1 off two. OVER $6 DOLLARS A GALLON OF MILK PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!! :s And just for balance, a 12pk of most any name brand soda(cans) is now $8+ sans deposit. This is just one chain. I will be certain to look at the others I shop at too see if they are doing the same. They expect fuel prices to jump another 30 cents a gallon by mid april. $4 a gallon or higher by July. That is a 20 percent rise in prices of fuel. Food prices are expected to rise 20 percent or more as well. Quote Riverside CA
Moderators Bravus Posted March 12, 2008 Moderators Posted March 12, 2008 On the bright side, someone showed the other day that when fuel prices rise incumbent parties get voted out of government. Quote Truth is important
olger Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I see, young fellar. You are hereby ordered to spend an afternoon with Earl Pitts, American. What's gas cost down under? Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

I was shocked to see diesel at $4.09!!! Fortunately we had enough in the tank to go 100 mi into Virginia before we had to refuel at $3.79 a gal of diesel. Gerry Quote
CyberGuy Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Yes Diesel is already at $4 plus a gallon. I meant regular 87 octane fuel at $4 a gallon. Diesel will be close to $4.50 a gallon by then. Quote Riverside CA
Planey Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 What's gas cost down under? A rough conversion is about AU$5.60 per gallon (say US$5.40 /gal) Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
