Well, maybe not the very favorite, but close, is a Mexican Restaurant, just across the border in Lynden..

The best part, it is owned by a Jewish-Mexican, no lard, no pork, no shrimp, nothing unclean...

How sweet is that?

If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses.

My fave is the Millennium Restaurant in San Francisco. World-class vegan food, and a good ambience.

Favourite restaurant? My house! I'm getting so tired of eating out...

Except for sushi, as it is a lot of work to make sushi at home.

Why? Because it has white rice? Granted, but what's wrong with fresh vegetables and tofu?

I think maybe David was thinking you were having the raw fish sushi.

An asparagus roll is one of my faves! You can have a vegan meal at a sushi place :)

On a dare, a friend of mine in Denver took me to a Sushi restaurant where I'm positive I ate some of practically every dish on their menu that night. Now, I'm basically all vegetarian. Some of the sushi wasn't too bad but I ate some stuff I'm only too glad I have only a vague memory of. I prefer my Mexican dishes.

Wow- have you ever missed out! Up here, you can usually find several vegetarian options in a sushi bar. One place I go to has a vegetarian lunch box on its menu

Many places offer brown rice as option but you definitely don't have to have rice. Just load up on more veggies and fruit. We add mango and avocado.

A restaurant in San Antonio called "green." It's the only vegetarian restaurant in town, owned/operated by SDAs. Lots of vegan options. Most of it is down-home, comfort-style food. Yummy! Not the "grass and twigs" you might think of as vegetarian fare.

Of course, San Antonio has the best Mexican food too! (You won't find many Taco Bells there!) My faves - Las Salsas for the most authentic Mexican food and La Fonda on Main for excellent outdoor ambience and yummy food. (The Riverwalk has some great outdoor places, too, but I can't recommend any of them for the food.)

Happy Family Chinese Vegetarian Restaurant, 111 N.Atlantic Blvd.Monterey Park (Los Angeles) would be my favorite. Tell them you want the "all you can eat" menu. When I was there about ten years ago it was $9.95. This is not buffet.......They take your order, make it up, and when you are finished they bring you the menu, again until you are "all fed up" It was the first time I had driven eighty miles just to eat but my Chinese friends insisted ( and they were driving...and treating..). I liked it so much that we went back the next day as well.

A specific restaurant...?

Gee...there are so many...

I guess my favorites change so much and depends upon the mood I am in....Currently, Thai Bistro in medford for Thai food. If I want a sandwich, it's Togos...they are mostly in California, although I found one in Corvallis, Or. And the Portland one is gone....

Mexican...Los Dos Hermanos in Albany had a spinach enchallada that was really good...

chineese...haven't found a really good chineese one...of late...

As for Sushi....I am like david...haven't frequented one due to the thought of raw fish...That may have to change...

My favorite restaurant: Spiro's. It's a nice family owned Greek restaurant where the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, the wait staff is courteous and the manager/owner always comes to the tables to check on his guests.

One evening we were dining there the owner came to our table on crutches!! He'd just had surgery on his knee the week before, but he still made the effort to see to it that our dining experience was everything we wanted it to be.

Well, here in VA where I am from (at least for the second half of my life), The Melting Pot is a treat. Though they serve lots of meats, they also have a vegetarian plate with different sauces. Then of course the very best is the chocolate fondue. Totally Awesome!

We have a nice little place downtown called the China Express were my husband likes to get their vegetarian fried rice, and my favorite is the broccoli with a mild garlic sauce, and with tofu added in. Very nicely put together.

There are several buffets around town, but I think our favorite is Old Country Buffet. You can always get a good variety, and the food is usually pretty good, and fresh.
