Morning Glory Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Hi Restin!! It is SO GOOD to "see" you back on CA!!! I have really missed your insightful, interesting posts. I read the......portion of a book you wrote (is that correct?) which you had posted prior to your leaving. It really touched me, and then you were gone. I am thrilled to learn that you have conquered your, um, "demons". No pun intended!!! I completely understand your initial statement about SDA's not being sympathetic to any kind of mental illness. I remember conseling my "ex" to not take a certain medication that was rx'd for him as I was fearful that he would be "labled". (Unfortunately, he desparately needed help, and that med perhaps could have helped him.....BTW, he got "labeled" anyway......) I still feel badly that I gave him such poor counsel. Guess I was just as ignorant/ fearful as the "masses" of that time were!! It was in the early '70's, I was fresh out of Nursing school, and really wet behind the ears. I have learned a boatload since that time, both from personal and professional experience!! I, too, am most interested in hearing your story!! Chapter 2? Or is it more like 6 & 7 ? I know that you must have gone to hell and back during your recovery. Usually it takes a LOT to figure things out and come out the other side. Am so happy that you have!! AND, that you have a ministry in the church!! Fondly, Morning Glory Quote Kindness is the oil that takes the friction out of life.
